Good news to all hopefuls who want an iPhone (including me), Wal-Mart, an American giant discount store will be offering an iPhone for only $99 starting this month. The said cheaper version of iPhone would be a 4-gigabyte model. The giant company would try a pre-Christmas launch for this $99 iPhone.

The iPhone went on sale last July 11 at $199 for the 8-gigabyte version while the 16-gigabyte was sold for $299.

The only down side of buying this iPhone is the need to sign up with AT&T. The monthly plan costs at least $30 a month, which includes unlimited internet access. To enjoy unlimited texting, an additional $20 will be included in the monthly plan.
