Protect Your Gmail Account From Hackers

Protect Your Gmail Account From HackersHacking is very common these days. Even web sites like Yahoo have been hacked many times. So how can we make sure that we are not being hacked? I have read this article, I think last week. It's about how to detect if your Gmail account has been hacked.

Here are some of the things that I learned.

1. If you feel that you are being hacked, immediately change your password. Make sure that it is a combination of letters, numbers and symbols. It shouldn't be your birthday or things that are very familiar to others.

2. Add more security to your email by changing the Browser connection to https. To do so, go to the Setting page and click the General tab. At the bottom you will see Browser connection settings. Click "Always use https" then Save.

3. There is also a monitoring of the last five IP addresses that logged in to your Gmail account. You can see that by clicking the Details link located at the bottom section of the page. If you see a different IP addresses, it is a sign that there is someone accessing your account. Change immediately your password.
