I just can’t believe it that after doing some tweaking in my Post title, regular digging and submitting links to my Twitter, my web traffic increased a lot. My main blog, which has the usual 150 to 200 page loads now has reached its 400th mark. Isn’t that impressive? My entertainment blog on the other hand, which has the usual 60 to 100 page loads now has reached its 200th mark. And lastly this blog, which is just two months old, is soon to reach its 100th mark.
If you are still depressed that your blog isn’t picking any traffic then I think you should check my post about “How To Increase Web Hits” and “How To Change Page Title.” It will definitely help you a lot.

Amber Davis Playboy Magazine October 2008

The Gem of Pinoy Pop, Amber Davis is the latest cover of Playboy magazine Philippines for the month of October 2008. It was sad though that the publication of the October 2008 was delayed so I don't have the picture of Amber Davis. Instead, I have her latest album CD cover.
Speaking of CD album cover, Amber Davis is a Fil-Am singer that made her music debut in the Philippines last 2006. She is known for the songs "Manila", "Back Into You" and the dance craze "Kembot." If you don't know, that is theme music for the summer channel ID of ABS-CBN.
I'll be posting her Playboy magazine cover as soon as I have it.
Update: Here is Amber Davis Playboy Magazine October 2008 cover.

Project Increase Web Hits
Posted by: Makoy Labels: Blogging, Blogging Tips, Buzzfeed, Digg, SEO, Twitter, Web TrafficThe other day I was inspired by a blogger friend to have more time in increasing my web hits. His usual web hits a day is around 1,000 while mine is around 500 for my three blogs. He shared a bookmark site called buzzfeed wherein he receives huge traffic a day. I signed up for it but I was having problem in uploading a thumbnail picture.
Anyway since I am a member of Digg, a popular bookmark site, I just logged-in and submitted my new and old posts. When I was still in the Philippines, I usually submit my new posts to Digg since it helps in promoting my site and certainly someone in the World Wide Web would see my blog. Aside from Digg, I also updated by Twitter account and would make it a point to submit my posts there everyday.
After two days of submitting posts in Digg and Twitter, my web traffic increased at least 40%. One more thing, I also have this habit of submitting links through my friend’s Yahoo Messenger. I just hope they are more pleased to be informed with the latest news about me and the world.

Did you know that your page title can help you gain more traffic in your site? There’s just one problem when you’re a Blogger user. In every post in your blog, your post title is only displayed after the Blog Title (e.g. Make Money Online With Makoy: Change Page Title In Blogger). This title will definitely not help you in SEO (search engine optimization). Not only the title is too long but the main keywords are displayed at the end of the title.
The trick here is to display only the post title. With just a few tweaking in your HTML Template code your posts will be displayed with just the post title. Here’s what you’re going to do. Log-in to your Blogger account then go directly to the Layout page. Click the Edit HTML link then look for this code:
.
Replace that code with this code:
Hit the save button then test if every post is displayed with the post title. Just wait for Google to crawl all your posts before you can notice the spike in your web hits. Happy blogging!

Google Co-Founder Parkinson’s Disease
Posted by: Makoy Labels: Google, Health, Parkinson's Disease, Sergey Brin
Google co-founder Sergey Brin candidly revealed on his new blog that he carried a gene mutation, G2019S, which is related to Parkinson’s disease. This was discovered during the test trial of her wife’s co-founded DNA Company, 23andMe. He revealed that his mother Eugena and aunt also suffered from Parkinson’s disease.
On Sergey Brin’s blog he said that he is still fortunate that he had discovered that he is predisposed with this disease. Because of that, he used some of hia Google billions to fund for research on Parkinson’s disease. According to Wikipedia, “Parkinson's disease (also known as Parkinson disease or PD) is a degenerative disorder of the central nervous system that often impairs the sufferer's motor skills and speech, as well as other functions.”
Sergey Brin wrote in his blog, “I know early in my life something I am substantially predisposed to. "I now have the opportunity to adjust my life to reduce those odds (e.g. there is evidence that exercise may be protective against Parkinson's). "I also have the opportunity to perform and support research into this disease long before it may affect me. And, regardless of my own health it can help my family members as well as others."
I am hoping that this research would find a cure to Parkinson’s disease. We don’t want to suffer from this disease. Definitely not me!

If you belong to the blogger group that received a decrease in their Page Ranks then you have to join my latest project, which I call “Project NoFollow.” So what is Project NoFollow? For starters, Page Ranks are actually based on internal (links within your site) and external hyperlinks (links from other sites). Every reciprocal links means a point value to your Page Rank. It also depends on the Page Rank of the site you are being linked. The higher the Page Rank, the higher point value you will get.
If you have been doing paid reviews or even posting links in your regular posts, what you should do is to add a “nofollow” code on every hyperlink of your posts. For example:
I’m just not sure if it’s okay to put a “nofollow” code on paid reviews. You have to check on the terms and conditions of those sites. On my three blogs, I have started to implement this project. Don’t worry to those exchange links of mine, yours won’t be nofollowed.
Let’s just see if my Page Rank would improve.

This was asked by my reader Les and since I have an article about it in my main blog, I will just repost it here. If you have your own questions about blogging and making money online, you can drop me a message. Just be reminded that I'm not that experienced YET. Hehe.
Blogger now has the capability of displaying Google ads in between of your blog posts, which is called the inline text ads. The sad thing is you can only display a maximum of three Google ads. By the way, before displaying Google inline text ads, make sure to count first the number of Google ads in your blog. I think there are a maximum number of Google ads you can display in your site, three I guess. If you exceed with the limit, it will just display a blank ad.
Anyway, to add a Google inline text ad in your blog, go to your dashboard then click the Layout link. Once you are at the layout page, click the Edit link at the blog posts page element. It will launch a new page with the settings of the blog posts page element. Click the checkbox “Show Ads Between Posts”. The setting for the inline text ad will be displayed after. Just change the corresponding fields for the number of post interval and the text ad format you want then click the Save button. Make sure to check your blog after if you are already satisfied with your ad format.
Voila your Google inline text ads are ready to make money.

Go Affiliate Marketing
Posted by: Makoy Labels: Affiliate Marketing, ClickBank, Make Money Online, Weblogs
When I was in the Internet Marketing Seminar last Wednesday, one of the tips that they gave was to do Affiliate Marketing. Since, I have been blogging for more than two years now, I am somewhat familiar with it. They gave this site called ClickBank, which according to the speaker is the number one Affiliate Marketing site. You can even purchase products in that site with a money back guarantee for 1 year. Isn't that nice
I have just signed up yesterday at ClickBack and on the stage now of navigating the site. I hope it could do good in my online earnings. So what is an Affiliate Marketing?
According to Wikipedia, "Affiliate marketing is an Internet-based marketing practice in which a business rewards one or more affiliates for each visitor or customer brought about by the affiliate's marketing efforts." In short, an affiliate is the third-party wherein it markets the product of a certain company. The customer and an affiliate will meet at the affiliate's web site and the ordering process would be then transferred to the seller.
Here is the diagram of the Affiliate marketing courtesy of Wikipedia. I'll blog in the coming days about my feedback in ClickBank. Happy blogging and have patience in earning money online.

If you are wondering on how to create your own avatar, I have stumbled this website wherein you can create your own avatar picture for free. Avatar by the way is the small picture usually in 50x50 size that you post in sites to represent yourself. Usually it is your picture to easily distinguish you.
According to Wikipedia, "An avatar is a computer user's representation of himself or herself, whether in the form of a three-dimensional model used in computer games, a two-dimensional icon (picture) used on Internet forums and other communities, or a text construct found on early systems such as MUDs. It is an “object” representing the embodiment of the user. The term "avatar" can also refer to the personality connected with the screen name, or handle, of an Internet user."
The site is called mypictr. All you need to do is to browse your picture then choose your desired size then drag. Click the pictrit button so you can download the file in your local drive. As easy as that. You can now use that Avatar for your MyBloglog, Yahoo Messenger and Blog Catalog. What are you waiting for, test it now!

Last Tuesday while I was on the MRT on my way to the office, I saw this newspaper ad with a FREE Internet Marketing Seminar caption on it. Since, I want to learn more about Internet Marketing and earning more from my usual, I signed up with them. I also hoped that I would get a free book since it was indicated in their newspaper ad that they will give out free Internet Marketing books for the first 50 people to sign up.
After office yesterday, I went directly to their office at Keppel Towers in Tanjong Pagar, which is just walking distance to our next home. The start of the seminar was 7 P.M. and I arrived there 5 minutes before 7 P.M. Sadly, there are no free books at all. Anyway, I planned that day to eat early but since I was late I grabbed a muffin and an iced tea on a nearby store and ate while I was on the seminar.
The seminar was two hours long and the guy talking was a Teacher who is now doing Internet Marketing full time for over three years now. I wasn't able to get his monthly income since I went out to buy a snack. The seminar was okay for beginners and since I find myself on the next level, it was quite boring. I find it very ridiculous that the speaker always want the audience to repeat what he is saying. If he stopped doing that, the seminar would just take up an hour. Didn't he know that most of us came from a half day of work? I was actually tired, hungry and very sleepy.
One thing that I am disappointed with the seminar is the lack of good information. The speaker keeps on saying that he will discuss about that certain topic later on but eventually it was never discussed. The seminar ended with the invitation from the audience to enroll in their 2-day seminar. Would you believe that the original price of that seminar amounted to almost 3,000 SGD? And this is more bizaare that at that moment they are selling the seminar for only 100 SGD. What a nice marketing strategy? It just surprised me that most of the audience signed up for the 2-day seminar.
Anyway, I am still thankful for some of the information that I have learned in the 2-hour seminar. I'll just be careful next time on the seminars I am signing up to.

One way to earn web hits is to blog about hot SEO topics. Hot SEO topics are those keywords that are most searched around the world in search engines. Let’s say “Britney Spears” is a hot SEO topic (well she is) then you should blog about it. Since many are searching for her whereabouts, your site will be visited by these “searchies” since you have these topics.
I suggest that you take advantage of these SEO topics since it will benefit you a lot. If there are occasions or events, better blog it in advance so your post will be indexed in search engines before others got indexed. Let’s say the event is the London Olympics 2012. Even at this time, it is suggested to have archived posts about it. When London Olympics start, your site will be one of the sites that will be displayed in the search engine results.
If you want to try other hot SEO topics, you may want to try Google Labs. Google Labs displays history of the most searched keywords per day. You can even go back to a certain day and discover the mind set of people when it comes to Google searching.

Ever wonder how to disable right-clicking on your sites? So, what’s this right-click disabling can do to your site? Not only it will protect you from others copying your text content and pictures but it will also restrict others from viewing your source code. If you are an IT person like me, of course there is a technique that can make you still copy and view source codes.
If you are a blogger user, all you need to do is to go to your Dashboard then click the Layout selection. At the layout screen, click the Add A Page Element then choose HTML/JavaScript. Paste the code then click Save. Refresh your web site then try right clicking on your site. Voila!

The number one search engine in the world Google has introduced yesterday its new web browser named Google Chrome. With this new web browser in the market, it threats the domination of Micosoft’s Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox, which has 73% and 18% market respectively.
Google Chrome is designed to handle more quickly video-rich or other complex Web programs. Just like the current versions of Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox, Chrome organizes information into tabbed pages. Web programs can also be launched in its own dedicated window. Google Chrome also offers variety of features that makes the browser more stable and secure. It also has a feature that offers special privacy mode that lets users create an “incognito” window where history of that window is never logged on the computer.
The public trial for Google Chrome started yesterday and it comes in 43 languages in 100 countries. You can get the software by visiting www.google.com/chrome.
I need to try this one. Even I am having a great experience with Mozilla Firefox, I still need an alternative. It just annoys me when Mozilla Firefox crashes and just closes.

I think it was only last year of October that I have learned that you can actually earn from answering surveys online. This money making site is called, "Dneero." If you can notice on the bottom portion of my blogs, you can see this green box that contains surveys. This is what I am saying.
Every survey that you answer corresponds an amount depending on the advertisers. You can expect to answer about product feedback, politics, the environment, opinion about music video of a new artist and so many others. Aside from answering the survey, you can earn extra by posting the green widget on your blogs. I even post that widget on my Friendster profile since each views represents money. If I am not mistaken it needs a thousand impression to receive a $1. Not bad right? If you feel generous, you can even donate that money to charities that Dneero are affiliated.
If you want to start earning money from surveys, click this link. I would appreciate if you would use that referral link.
