Software company giant Apple as reported by BBC has more cash on hand than the United States federal government. This was according to Apple's financial records that shows they have $76.4 billion in reserve cash compared to the Treasury Department which only has $73.7 billion.

Apple which is responsible for the iPad, iPod and iPhone is a force to reckon with even with the recession, it has managed to earn profits.
