Online encyclopedia Wikipedia says that it is losing its contributors. That was according to Founder Jimmy Wales during the website's annual conference held this year in Haifa, Israel.

He said that their administrators were scrambling in finding ways to make writing and editing in Wikipedia simpler. In an effort to encourage volunteers to stay active, Wikipedia has launched WikiLove where users can post positive feedback regarding Wikipedia.

Wikipedia also encouraged professors in India, Brazil and Europe to assign writing and editing entries to their students.

Wikipedia is a non-profit organization that was launched in 2001. It allows anyone to edit its entries. Wikipedia has become the largest and most popular general reference work on the Internet with an Alexa rank of 7.
